SymptomsDefine possible issues with 40AC errors. ECAM error 5-108. Cause40AC errors possibly caused by improperly linked partitions. SolutionT10000B/C/D - FSC 40AC - This is typically an informational FSC that indicates that the host tried to read past the last data block in the partition. It is commonly found in tape drive event logs from ALP accounts. If the customer is not stating that they are missing data then assume that they are the informational type (not the ALP link issue described below). There is a very rare bug where the partitions on the tape are not linked properly. As a result there is more data on the tape that cannot be accessed. Without a drive dump we cannot tell with certainly which type we are dealing with on tapes taking this FSC. If this is the ALP Link problem then running Rebuild MIR to the tape will rebuild the ALP links and allow the tape to be fully read. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
