Created from <SR 3-12343335171>

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Diameter Connection is not restoring automatically without bouncing it.

Cause

When the far end is sends a disconnect and the disconnect cause has a value of BUSY (AVP: Disconnect-Cause(273) l=12 f=-M-val=BUSY (1)).

There is no mechanism in the SCTP transport to indicate when this circuit is no longer busy.

Therefore, the DSR cannot automatically bring this circuit back in service.

Solution

The only resolution is to manually disable/enable the connection on the DSR.
