Symptoms

UAM 0520 and UAM 0521 observed for Frame Power Usage:

  0176.0521 ** FRAME CF00 Frame power usage reached LVL2
  0177.0520 *C FRAME EF00 Frame power usage reached LVL3

Impact:
The alarm shows that frames are drawing power that is above the power thresholds set (rtrv-frm-pwr)

Cause

E5-E1T1-B cards configured as LIME1 returns invalid BIP data after init-card or inh-card/alw-card.
rtrv-bip reports "Board ID Prom retrieve failure: prom data undefined"
 
The following justifies how the issue is related to this specific customer:
Customer has E5-E1T1B Cards set as LIME1.

This is explained in the following bug:

Solution

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Check the cards that have BIP alarm. Run:
Rept-stat-trbl:display=timestamp
2. Physically reseat the card
3. Perform rept-stat-card:mode=full and check if the BIP alarm is now clear
4. Perform step 2 and 3 for all LIME1 cards that have been identified with BIP alarm
5. Check power consumption. It should be under the threshold limits: rtrv-stp:display=power
