Information in this document applies to any platform.
When the assistant is executed for the ODA system it-self the validation step to check the information is skip.
You can go through the Validation screen only when you execute it from a laptop for example

Symptoms

ODA installation has failed with the Error in Step10 (ValidateEnv):

There are the following errors in the assistant log located in /tmp:

Cause

A fake DNS Server and domain needs to be configured in the assistant in order to move to the next screen.

Solution

On the second screen of the ODA select a custom installation instead of the Typical.

This will add the step "Generic Network" in the assistant where you can enable the checkbox "No DNS Server available"
