Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cannot access the shell prompt in SBC. Customer is getting following error :-

ACMESYSTEM# shell

Shell access is disabled on this Session Director

Changes

 New installation

Cause

Shell prompt is disabled by default, it needs to be enabled.

Solution

Please run the command - "debug-enable" in order to get the shell access.

P.S :- it is advisable to run commands over shell only when advised by TAS/Devlopment engineers.

If customer has admin security license installed then they will not get access to shell prompt. If the license was installed unknowingly then the only solution is to replace chassis and install fresh license without admin security.

Goal

To get access to shell prompt in SBC.
