Symptoms

During Auto Stats collection jobs or with a manual stats collection on fixed objects using exec dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats('SYS', gather_fixed=>TRUE);

Exception [type: SIGSEGV, Address not mapped to object] [ADDR:0x20011] [PC:0xFFFFFFFF72DBD558, strlen()+24] [flags: 0x0, count: 1]

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [strlen()+24] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x20011] [PC:0xFFFFFFFF72DBD558] [Address not mapped to object] []

Changes

New install or upgrade or patch to 12.1.0.2.13 or 12.1.0.2.160119 on Solaris SPARC nodes.

Cause

Unpublished Port Specific Bug 22664402 - SUPERCLUSTER: ORA-07445 [STRLEN] DURING DBMS_STATS EXECUTION WITH X$QKSBGSYS.

Solution

<Patch 22664402> This will also be included in the DBPSU provided with the April 2016 QFSDP.
