Symptoms

Following the upgrade of the ZFS-7320 ILOM on Exalogic X2-2 and X3-2 racks, it is observed that the network settings for the ZFS ILOM are lost. The following settings are observed upon logging in to the ZFS ILOM and viewing the network settings:

However, the ZFS ILOM continues to be accessible over its configured IP address. This is a display-only issue. Exalogic racks X4-2 and X5-2 containing the ZS3-ES Storage Appliance are not affected.

Cause

This issue is tracked through the following ILOM bug:

BUG 22766793 - Updating Exalogic X2-2 from 2.0.x.x.x to 2.0.6.2.x loses ILOM Network settings

The bug causes the network info for eth0 (aka NETMGMT) to be displayed rather than the "current configured management port" (which is SIDEBAND on Exalogic).

Solution

This is a display-only issue, and may be ignored, since the ZFS ILOM continues to be accessible over its configured IP address. A fix is currently in progress.
