Symptoms

File reel amplifier was saturated for too long.

FSC: 5904 REEL_CTL_FSC_FILE_AMP_SATURATED.

Cause

5904 FSC can be caused by one or more rollers binding in the tape path. It can also be caused by stiction problems with certain tapes.

Solution

Multiple 5904 errors being seen on different tapes and wraps.
Recommend the drive be replaced.
