Symptoms

 A process is consuming excessive system resources - POLICY 11.5.0 version, Wireless (Production)

 An Info level message in the Alarm History about "A process is consuming excessive system resources" was observed.

Cause

These are not alarms. They are info messages: GN_WARNHEAP/INF heap growth detected. An actual alarm will be raised if any process is growing the heap too large.

Solution


By default there will be a warning alarm message when heap size exceeds 1GB and there will be a Info message when heap size exceeds 256KB. Maximum value is 400% or 2TB.
