Symptoms

Unable to destroy dynamic routes on ZFS Storage Appliance.

zfsstorage:configuration services dynrouting> ls
Properties:<status> = enabled

zfsstorage:configuration net routing> ls
Properties:
        multihoming = loose

zfsstorage:configuration services dynrouting> ls
Properties:<status> = disabled

zfsstorage:configuration net routing> destroy route-003
error: only static routes can be manually deleted

Cause

Kernel keeps the dynamic routes until routes are flushed manually.

Solution

1. Disable the Dynamic Routing service:

        zfsstorage:configuration services dynrouting> ls
        Properties:
        <status> = disabled

2. Then, either reboot the ZFS Storage Appliance or Disable/Enable the network interface manually.
This will flush the routes from the kernel.
