Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

My MaxRep Engine reports the error "CX maintenance mode is currently Active" under the alert and notifications section.

Cause

This is caused when a user places an Engine into Maintenance Mode. Maintenance Mode prevents the Engine from sending emails or alerts due to warnings or failures. This is to allow an admin to suppress these messages during a maintenance window when these types of messages are not desired to be forwarded. When in Maintenance Mode, a warning will exist indicating that the Engine is in Maintenance Mode until the Engine is taken out of Maintenance Mode.

Solution

To take an Engine out of Maintenance Mode:

  1. Go to the "Settings" contexts.
  2. Select "Replication Engine Settings" under the "Settings" section of the menu tree.
  3. Unselect the Maintenance Mode checkbox.
  4. Click on "Save".
