Symptoms

After updating to Oracle Hardware Management Pack 2.3.4 the ILOM Storage section shows a Status of "Not Available"

ILOM - > Summary - > status -> storage Not Available

Cause

OHMP 2.3.4 was not communicating the disk status to ILOM 3.1.2.20.g. This was found to be due to a known bug in the mr_sas driver in Solaris 10.

The issue can be seen with using the below HBA.

Description:6Gbps SAS-2 RAID HBA

Option#: SGX-SAS6-R-INT-Z

Manufacturing Part #: 375-3644,375-3701,7047503

Solution

1. Install the patch 148422-02, SunOS 5.10: mr_sas patch x86
2. Upgrade the LSI firmware to the latest package, at least 12.12.0-0178, 2.130.373-2809.
3. Reboot and monitor for the next 24h.
