Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

IPSEC is a peer-to-peer protocol which resides at the network layer rather than the session or application layer.

Cause

IPsec is not well suited for client-server application models (does not require client/server authentication).
