Symptoms

Sessions are not writing new xDR since one DWS of the pool is down despite it has been set in MAINTENANCE state in NSP CCM.

IxpStore process logs following message:

1203:002954.015 TR-V OCILogon() error: (12543) ORA-12543: TNS:destination host unreachable [3441/StoConnection.cpp:229]
1203:002954.015 STO2 Cannot connect to the database: ixp0001-1a_DWH [3441/StoUtility.cpp:99]
1203:002954.053 STO2 Character Set of all DWH servers are not same. [3441/StoDbInterface.cpp:449]
1203:002954.053 STO2 Unable to initialize the database interface [3441/StoKernel.cpp:212]
1203:003004.054 STO1 Session name: rkh1_mtt1_m2pa_sudr_2 [3441/StoDbInterface.cpp:126]

Cause

IxpStore process test database character set on all DWS of the pool even if it is on MAINTENANCE mode. This test is failing on unreachable DWS.

PIC 10.1 and 10.1.5 have this issue.

Solution

Remove DWS from the pool in NSP CCM until DWS is reachable again.
