Symptoms

When attempting to inventory the robot with Netbackup, the following error message is received immediately upon making the attempt:

Robot inventory failed: Requested slot does not exist in robot (228)

Cause

Customer upgraded their KMA appliances last week and it appears the problem was related to that.

Solution

Customer unregistered/re-registered the drives with the KMA and things appear to be working properly.
