Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2073583.1 : Frequent Streaming Of Snmp Messages In The SBC Logs
Frequent streaming of SNMP messages in the SBC logs In this Document
Created from <SR 3-11097109151> Applies to:Acme Packet 4500 - Version S-Cz7.2.0 to S-Cz7.2.0 [Release S-Cz7.0]Information in this document applies to any platform. SNMP messages have been frequently spewing in the SBC logs. These messages started to show in the logs (log.snmpd, and acmelog) after upgrading from SCZ720m2p3 to SCZ720m5. SymptomsLogs are filled with below messages: Jul 24 00:38:23.577 snmpd@RIC-SBC02: SNMP[27] Waiting for input... for Socket = 305

ChangesThe issue started after upgrading the software from SCZ720m2p3 to SCZ720m5. CauseThese log messages should not be printing out at NOTICE level but instead DEBUG level. Unfortunately, this version of software implemented them at NOTICE level. You can stop these errors by calling "loglevel snmpd warning" on the ACLI. The reason that these logs are appearing in acmelog is because the system-log-level in system-config is set to catch anything that's info level or higher. SolutionThis is a bug and it is is fixed in software version SCZ720M5P4. Need to upgrade to this software version of the SBC.
