Symptoms

When trying to configure the network settings on a server with Windows Server 2012 R2 and OHMP installed, the network settings window looks like it has hung or it is really slow to respond.

This issue might impact third-party licensing programs that regularly queries the MACs to check the license.

It may affect VMware Workstation as well, where the VM's bridged network stops working

Cause

This issue is caused by a Windows virtual NIC driver in OHMP.

Solution

A workaround for this issue is to reboot the ILOM. Once the ILOM is rebooted the network configuration window response is back to normal.

Install OHMP 2.3.3.0 on the affected server to resolve this issue. This is patch 21969558 Oracle HMP 2.3.3 for Microsoft Windows 2003/2008

NOTE: The patch description is wrong it is going to be fixed soon.
This patch version supports all Windows versions supported by a given hardware platform (except Microsoft Windows 2003).
