Applies to:

Oracle Fabric Interconnect F1-15 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After update of OVS, Oracle Fabric Interconnect (aka Xsigo)  is showing following entry: (none)(no system ID) Those systems are also not visible in Oracle Fabric Manager

Changes

 Update of system OVS system.

Cause

Affected hosts will see following:

# cat /proc/driver/xscore/info
ULP services mask:              0x43
Boot_flag:                      0
system_id:                      <NULL>
HostName:                       (none)

Solution

- Make sure that the solution provided in below document is applied:

'show physical-server' Displays Missing System ID for a Server and Oracle Fabric Manager Does not Find Server (Doc ID 1578890.1)

- restart the Oracle Virtual Networking (OVN/aka Xsigo) xscore on affected system:

# /etc/init.d/xsigo restart

After above the

/proc/driver/xscore/info

should show some entries.

If this fail then a reinstall of Oracle Virtual Networking (OVN aka Xsigo) driver is needed

Note: In OVS the driver is integrated with OS itself from version OVS 3.2.9 so if reinstall is needed a OVS engineer will need to be involved in this.
