SymptomsVTV mounted on a VTD (VSM6) cannot be unloaded or dismounted.
Vary Offline /Offline Force command indicates that the VTD is OFFLINE BUSY, and the command times out. IEF351I ASSIGN PROCESSING TIMED OUT FOR AUTOSWITCH DEVICE
The VSM6 Support CLI show commands indicates the VTV Mount Type is in "EXISTING" status
CauseA known issue exists caused by Cancel or Selective Resets, which can leave a VTD stuck in a "busy" state.
SolutionThis is fixed in VSM6 microcode 6.1.0.15.000 and higher code releases. A workaround to clear the VTD and resolve the stuck VTV is to shut down the VSM6 with the killtikka command, and restart (reboot each node). The workaround must be performed by a Support Engineer.
