We received a new tape drive for our stk sl150 library last week and we have had two tape write errors since the install. Last Friday night our tsm backup system received this message although the sl150 interface has not reported any error. The tape 3043 is still in the drive. Could the drive firmware be a problem.
The drive firmware for that drive is at 258S? The other two drives are at 22GS.
Symptoms
ANR8337I LTO volume 003043 mounted in drive DRIVE03 (mt6.0.0.9). (SESSION: 1433, PROCESS: 37)

Solution
The drive appears to have temp errors that can cause write failures.
Recommend the drive be tested for functionality.
Drive is probably bad.
