Symptoms

The FOS upgrade to version 7.3.1a causes the GUI or Webtools to become inaccessible by the user after the input of login credentials.

A popup window appears with Java exception error message as shown below:

 


 

Changes

FOS upgrade to version 7.3.1a

Cause

In HTTP header an empty space is being added when passing related information which triggers an exception error with the message "White space is not allowed"
This impacts Brocade B300 SAN switch and other switches where Virtual Fabric (VF) feature not enabled.

Solution

The workaround is to disable automatic Java updates, uninstall Java version 8_u31 and install Java JRE 7 update 60. An alternate workaround available that is to enable virtual fabric if the Switch platform supports

Case was opened with Brocade  {case#1418627}.
recommendation from Brocade was needs to disable automatic Java updates and uninstall Java 8_u31 and install Java JRE 7 update 60.
