Symptoms

During the process of creating an event notification, the FS1-2 Storage Manager GUI (Graphical User Interface) returns the error "There are too many parameters specified".

Error message 

 

Cause

The maximum number of email addresses in the recipient list was exceeded.

Solution

Up to four email addresses can be specified on the recipient list. Exceeding this limit leads to this error.

Please refer to the Oracle Flash Storage System CLI Reference, which indicates the following:

recipients

Specifies the email addresses of one to four subscribers or externally defined mailing lists to which the Oracle FS System sends the event notification. Provide the email addresses in a comma separated list.


There is the unpublished <Bug 21690608> for this missing information from the Oracle Flash Storage System Administrator's Guide.
The Admin Guide for 6.2 will be updated accordingly.
