Sun Datacenter InfiniBand Switch 36 - Version All Versions and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Infiniband switch port disabled even when NOT in the autodisable list

Cause

Customer reboots his HP media server and port 7A gets disabled. I had the customer remove port 7A from autodisable but it still gets disabled. Customer has discovered that configuring port 17A in autodisable causes port 7A to be affected. Configuring port 1xA or 1xB will also affect 0xA or 0xB. eg adding port 15B in autodisable will ALSO configure port 5B. See bug 21689700 - autodisable add 17A also affects port 7A

Solution

Use "autodisable none" to workaround this issue whilst engineering investigates Bug 21689700. Possibly, remove 17A (in this case) to stop 7A being affected.
