StorageTek T10000D Tape Drive - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If an improper T10000D SFP is installed neither port will work.

Cause

 Improper SFP Installed.

Solution

The T10000D drive ships with a 16 GB SFP installed. This is the SFP that should be used in the drive.

The drive can be hard set to run at 16, 8 or 4 GB with this SFP installed. An 8 GB SFP will also work in the drive, however, if a 4 GB SFP is installed in the drive then neither port will work.

The drive will not do 2 GB at all as it has a 16 GB chipset in the drive which only handles 16, 8, and 4 GB transfer rates.
