Symptoms

SL150 - Web GUI and Local Operator Panel Become Unresponsive

Cause

Customers running a network monitoring application called, "What's Up Gold", causes WebLogic to become too busy on the SL150. WebLogic is what the Web GUI and the local operator panel run off of.

This will cause the Web GUI and the local operator panel to become unresponsive.

The SL150 will continue to run and mount/dismount tapes to drives so this should not affect the customer's backup/restore jobs.

Solution

The customer should disable the "What's Up Gold" application from running on the same network that the SL150 library runs on.
