Symptoms

On remaking a data pool on a basic 7410 system with half a JBOD of disks only, we have one faulty disk that prevents the BUI or CLI from making a pool.

No disks will be available for selection when trying to do so.

Changes

Reconfiguring a pool with half a JBOD's worth of disks

Cause

Unfortunately one missing or 'dead' disk - including a logzilla - in this configuration, will not allow a pool to be made as the BUI or CLI will regard this as an unsupported configuration.

Solution

Replace all 'broken' disks until the JBOD has a full 1/2 set of working data and logzilla drives.
