Ethernet cable connector

Symptoms

The ethernet connection socket has detached from the drive case and pushed back inside the drive when trying to plug in the management connection cable.
At installation found pushed back network cable connector in drive tray.

Cause

Network cable connector pushes into the drive tray, unable to connect a network cable to the tape drive.

Solution

1. Remove drive tray from SL8500 bay.
2. Open drive tray by removing top cover.
3. Inspect network cable connector on drive brick side and drive tray side.
4. Re-seat cable connector.
5. Replace network jumper cable if connector is defective.
