Applies to:

Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 9.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

IMSI does not appear in all xDRs in GMM and SM despite the fact it is in Iu-P TDR. This prevent the user to troubleshoot correctly customers issues by using ProTrace feature (at least use an IMSI to follow a user activity).

Changes

Cause

The IMSI value is not present in all network transactions for security reasons. The Mobile Database feature provides an internal enrichment by storing values when they have been already caught in transactions. The Mobile Database can be disabled to limit the CPU activity. But this prevent the system to store information that are essential to make traces, or more simply get xDRs with a query based on the IMSI.

In case of IMSI value is missing in xDRs, the Mobile Database activity must be checked.

Solution

Mobile Database must be enabled.

It is highly recommended to use 64bits PIC for better performances and stability.
