SPARC T5-2 - Version All Versions and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The following PSU sensor assertion/deassertion events occur often with roughly 5 second separation:

Jun  4 14:49:24 t5domaina-00 SC Alert: [ID 309697 daemon.notice] Sensor |
minor: Power Supply : /SYS/PS0/V_IN_WARN : State Asserted
Jun  4 14:49:29 t5domaina-00 SC Alert: [ID 632193 daemon.notice] Sensor |
minor: Power Supply : /SYS/PS0/V_IN_WARN : State Deasserted

Cause

The sensor is incorrectly triggering a Warning message.

Solution

Please ignore the V_IN_WARN events listed above since they are benign.  In many cases, the customer has supplied input voltage below the certified level.

This sensor's threshold crossing was changed from a warming to an informational message in system firmware version 9.5, ILOM version 3.2.5.6.

Systems with firmware version 9.5 or newer will now report V_IN_INFO events which can typically be ignored.
