Created from <SR 3-10830640911> Applies to:Sun Storage 7410 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions and laterSun Storage 7310 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions and later Oracle ZFS Storage ZS3-4 - Version All Versions and later Oracle ZFS Storage ZS3-2 - Version All Versions and later Oracle ZFS Storage ZS4-4 - Version All Versions and later 7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks) SymptomsA customer upgraded the Appliance Firmware Release version from 2013.1.1.6 to 2013.1.3.0. After the upgrade, the cluster resources screen no longer sees the 'component' network interfaces for an IPMP group.
Before upgrade: NAS_01:> configuration cluster resources show
Resources: RESOURCE OWNER TYPE LABEL CHANGES DETAILS net/igb0 NAS_01 private NET0 no 101.1.130.53 net/ipmp1 NAS_01 singleton IB_IPMP1 no 192.168.204.31,192.168.204.32 net/pffff_ibp0 NAS_01 singleton IB0 no net/pffff_ibp2 NAS_01 singleton IB2 no zfs/pool-01 NAS_01 singleton no 578T zfs/pool-02 NAS_01 singleton no 339T
After upgrade: NAS_02:> configuration cluster resources show
Resources: RESOURCE OWNER TYPE LABEL CHANGES DETAILS net/igb1 NAS_01 private NET1 no 101.1.130.55 net/ipmp1 NAS_01 singleton IB_IPMP1 no 192.168.204.31,192.168.204.32 zfs/pool-01 NAS_01 singleton no 578T zfs/pool-02 NAS_01 singleton no 339T
NOTE: 'ibp0' and 'ibp2' are no longer visible.
CauseThis issue is related to the following two CRs (both are closed as "Not a Bug"):
SolutionFrom Bug ID 19049600: Private Local IP Interfaces Datalinks in use by the peer's private interfaces can not be deleted and the delete button is greyed out. IP interfaces that belong to an IPMP group must all be of the same type and belong to the same head. To create an IPMP group you must use either all singleton or all private IP interfaces and your cluster node must be the owner of these interfaces. The IPMP group type is set only at creation, and is determined by the type of underlying links. IP interfaces that belong to IPMP groups do not appear on the Cluster:Resources page because IP interface ownership cannot be modified independently of the IPMP group ownership. Private IPMP groups do not appear in the Cluster:Resources page because this type or ownership cannot be modified.
=> So, this is a 'design' change.
