After deploying the VM, connected the the vm using following command: oakcli show vmconsole <vmname> But it disconnects session after 20-30 sec with message: OAKERR:8006 Error in VNC display configuration : DISPLAY=:1.0 CauseThis is usually seen due to one of the following bugs: Bug 20517723 LNX64-121-CMT:ADD VNCPORT BACK TO 'OAKCLI SHOW VM' Bug 21245627 VNC SESSION OF VM CONSOLE CLOSES UNEXPECTEDLY OAKERR:8006 ERROR IN VNC DISPLAY SolutionPer Bug 21245627 VNC SESSION OF VM CONSOLE CLOSES UNEXPECTEDLY OAKERR:8006 ERROR IN VNC DISPLAY 1) Upgrade ODA to 12.1.2.5 If this does not resolve the issue then:
Per Bug 20517723 LNX64-121-CMT:ADD VNCPORT BACK TO 'OAKCLI SHOW VM' 1) Using sendkeys feature you can configure the IP address for the DomU remotely from oda_base at firstboot. Then ssh to the vm via the IP. Details of send key are here : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/database-appliance/overview/oda-automatedvmprovisioning-2348232.pdf --or- 2) Login to the vm via same command 'oakcli show vmconsole', and configure the IP address for the vm by updating the ifcfg-ethX file before the vnc gets killed. And then do ssh to the vm. Once the vm has been configured with a IP address, you can start a vncserver inside the vm and then use the vnc directly to the vm.
