Symptoms
Customers reporting excessive fan noise coming from the ES1-24 switch . All diagnostics are clean an no faults are reported.
Cause
The cause is due to high fan RPM
Solution
Firmware release 1.3.1.9 and higher includes better fan speed control. It should be noted that in certain cases on a heavily utilized switch or a in warm datacenter it can be normal for high fan speed and in this case the noise is not avoidable.
