Applies to:

Pillar Axiom Replication Engine (MaxRep) - Version 3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Below is an example of the Event:

Summary:Replication Appliance Logged Error Message

Fault event description: Replication Appliance Logged Error Message
unknownMessage Payload Data:
event-parameter

    callhomeLogName = AK00265557-150519190557-150519203332-PCP_EVT_REPL_AGENT_LOGGED_ERRORMESSAGE-e-01-02.tar
    ReplicationEvents.applianceSerialNumber = 1415NM200N
    ReplicationEvents.ReplicationLogEventInfo.errorMessage = Disk usage on retention folder /retention1 now at 98%,
    alert threshold is configured at 80%.

Cause

In the example message above, the threshold was set at 80% and the disk usage on the retention folder has exceeded the threshold.

A new event is created every time the disk usage on the retention folder exceeded the threshold set by the users.

Solution

There are two options:

  • Add another retention LUN to increase the available space for retention data. Some of the existing Protection Plans will have to be deactivated with the "Clean CDP Retention logs" box ticked, and modified to point to the new retention LUN.

  • Decrease the amount on data being retained by reducing the retention interval or activating sparse retention.
