Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Unable to use 3 newly installed HP ULTRIUM 5 drives in SL3000.

- After new drive installation, customer can't see the new drives on the backup application.

- SLConsole can see the new drives.

- OS is not seeing the new drives.

Cause


Zoning/configuration issue.


 

Solution

- Customer needs to check and validate connections to the switch.

- Zoning configuration needed the 3 new tape WWN numbers to be added.
