Solution 1995440.1 : IMF Reports FastCopy Connection Failures from Eagle STP

Symptoms

Eagle STP reports Loss of Heartbeat (0581) alarms for multiple IPSG and IPGHC cards resulting in the IMF getting multiple fastcopy disconnect and reconnect messages in the fastcopy monitor log (fcMonitor).

Cause

While running the following command as cfguser

tr.tail fcMonitor

The fcMonitor log shows the following errors:

Raising FastCopy Source/Destination Unavailable Alarm on bond0.100 with Eagle Card IP 172.21.48.16

Trying to ping the IP mentioned in the log the results are not reachable from the IMF. To cross reference the IP to the EAGLE card having problems, the following reference chart will identify the assignment.

Solution

Replace faulty Eagle card.
