Symptoms

The loss of functionality
In E5MS are no alarms from Eagle STP detected E5MS alarm with the following alarm-text:


  Buffer overflows during UAMs/traps processing for Eagle STP CLLI
  This could result in loss of alarms

 

Cause

This is a warning alarm.

E5-MS buffers incoming UAMs for an EAGLE for which southbound resynchronization has been initiated in case southbound protocol is TL1.
This is a warning alarm.

Solution

To increase the buffer size:
1. Login as user root
2. Take backup of file:
/Tekelec/WebNMS/conf/tekelec/fault.properties
3. Open following file in edit mode:
/Tekelec/WebNMS/conf/tekelec/fault.properties
4. Set the value of parameter: QUEUE_MAX_SIZE to 7000
5. Save file
6. Restart the E5-MS service
