Solution

5204 errors on cleaning tape in the event log are normal and can be ignored. There is a bug in older T10KA/B microcode where perm error traps were being sent back from the drive for temp 5204 errors on tapes. Once verified, these SRs can be closed when they come in.

If this error is for data tapes then force a drive dump for analysis. For multiple data tapes failing with this error code on the same drive you will need to replace the drive.
