Read perm errors.

Permanent read errors.

Cause

Read Perm Errors.

Solution

For any of the Read Perm errors perform the following test:
1. Upload an event log into the SR. Process to collect the tape drive event log

2. Look at the results to see if a drive is called out as defective or if the tape is as fault. If the tape is at fault, the tape may need data recovery.
