The issue has the following business impact:
Shelf Pages for upgraded Eagles do not display all provisioned cards.

Changes

The issues is seen when managed Eagles are upgraded to Rel 44.0 or higher.

Cause

Card Inventory is not displayed properly in Shelf Page Of Fault Management System because the inventory update is done based on rtrv-bip command; this command output was changed on Eagle release 44.0, so when EMS is on release 43 it causes incompatibility.

Based on file emstekelec Mar 11.txt, in which log /u01/app/netboss/log/ proengine.derror_log shows some errors indicating that RTRV-BIP is not found, needed to update Inventory.

Solution

Taking into account that EAGLE EMS 43.0 is partially compatible with Eagle 44.0 and that EMS Rel 43 is End of Life (EOL) since July, 2014, the suggestion is to replace EMS by E5-MS.
