Symptoms

hpost -Q (which is a quick POST from the SC) shows a warning similar to the following one:

Reading domain blacklist file /etc/opt/SUNWSMS/config/A/blacklist ...

# ident "@(#)blacklist  1.1     01/04/02 SMI"
Reading platform blacklist file /etc/opt/SUNWSMS/config/platform/blacklist ...
# ident "@(#)blacklist  1.1     01/04/02 SMI"
SEEPROM probe took 0 seconds.

Reading Component Health Status (CHS) information ...
USIV+ procs on SB1 are running throttled, but are not in a split expander
configuration that would require it. Bailing out to force a full post run
so the procs can be reconfigured.

Exitcode = 81: Invalid recovered gdcd/ldcd structure
POST (level=7, verbose=20, -Q) execution time 0:45
# Sun Fire 12/15/20/25K POST log closed Sat Jan 31 15:39:55 2015

The domain is configured as below

SB0         On     V3CPU           Active        Passed        A
SB1         On     V3CPU           Active        Passed        A
IO0         On     HPCI+           Active        Passed        A
IO1         On     HPCI+           Active        Passed        A
IO17        On     V2HPCIX         Active        Passed        A

Cause

This warning only is showed during the quick POST, and only if the mentioned board has been included, in the past, in a split expander configuration.

A split expander is an expander that has it's System Board (SB) in one domain, and it's IO board (IO) in a different domain.
For example, configuring SB0 in Domain A and IO0 in Domain B would split expander EX0 between domains A and B.

"Hpost -Q' is not able to report correctly the inconsistency between the GDCD (Global Domain Configuration Descriptor on the Board SRAM) and the PCD (Platform Configuration Database on the SMS) and shows the warning.

Solution

The warning is harmless, and can be safely ignored.
Invoke an higher hpost level to avoid this error to appear.

See Sun Fire[TM] Servers (12K/15K/E20K/E25K): POST Level (Doc ID 1018053.1) for more information regarding the POST levels
