If the wire harness is installed to close to the fan it can be slowly damaged resulting in a cut wire.

Symptoms

T10KD Drive Showing offline and not communicating.
OpenVault drive t10kd_2 has an excessive error-rate - configuring down for the next 1440 minutes.

Cause

One of the wires in the wire harness was cut because it was situated too close to the fan.

Backup application is reporting an excessive error-rate.

Solution

T10K-D drive stops communicating -- check all connections, including the wire harness.

Temporary fix is to repair wire harness so drive communications are restored.
Need to replace the wire harness and install it in such a way that it does not come in contact with the fan.
