Symptoms

XSCF is marked degraded due to a  SCF-8006-WP fault -

 *   XSCFU Status:Degraded;

Changes

 Issue occurs at login attempt on the XSCF, it may be reported that after a failed login attempt that the XSCF does not allow further logins for several hours.

Cause

Investigation of the XSCF OS messages logs may reveal these errors at the time of the fault code being produced -

Note - this specific issue has been seen so far on XCP 1115, 1116 and 1117

Solution

Fault to be cleared (which requires a chassis power cycle on M3000/M4000/M5000) and the XSCF upgraded to XCP 1119 or XCP 1120.

XCP 1119 merely changes the fault to no longer degrade the XSCFU when encountering it

XCP 1120 has the final fix to JFFS to avoid the inode error completely
