Symptoms

install_smu fails. A review of the log ( which is found in the inactive BE) Shows

Cause

The version of cacao is Solaris 11.2 version

Newer version pkg://solaris/consolidation/cacao/cacao-incorporation@0.5.11,5.11-0.175.2.0.0.38.0:20140428T130228Z is already installed

Solution

Create a new BE and mount it and then relax the version facet for solaris/library/cacao and cacao-incorporation

#pkg -R /2015_SMU change-facet --no-backup-be facet.version-lock.solaris/library/cacao=False
#pkg -R /2015_SMU change-facet --no-backup-be facet.version-lock.consolidation/cacao/cacao-incorporation=False

Then run a pkg upgrade to the latest version of 11.1 both the library and incorporation in your local repo. This version needs to be equal to or lower than the target QFSDP SRU/JIDR level

pkgrepo list -s |grep cacao

After this activate and boot into the new holding BE and reboot.

Then run the install_smu --install in that new env.
