Symptoms

SL500 HP LTO4 SCSI drives keeps dropping offline after varying online from TSM.

   
As seen from the library logs, both the drives are seen to be in OK empty status.

Changes

 None

Cause

From the TSM logs, It's seen that its the same volume 330758 that reported error on both the drives.

Solution

Removed the volume 330758 from the library, cleaned the drives with good cleaning cartridge and ran diagnostics.
