Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1969130.1 : SL150 - CAP Magazine is Not Orderable

Applies to:StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library - Version All Versions and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. A customer's complaining about their CAP (mailslot) in their SL150 library. They're saying that they have to apply pressure to the left when pushing the mailslot in or it won't open the next time they try to use it. Also, it won't be able to read any cartridge labels in the mailslot if they don't do this. I'm going to investigate this situation tomorrow morning and thought I'd check to see what the availability of a replacement mailslot is, just in case the problem is being caused by a deformed mailslot. Unfortunately, these parts aren't in the system so, they can't be ordered. Is there an alternate part that can be ordered or is this one of those parts that can only be ordered via an iProcurement 'No Parts Process'? SymptomsSL150 unorderable parts Looked up the availability of the parts and they aren't in the system so, it won't recognize them as a valid part. CauseAssembly is defective. SolutionThe mailslot was never set up as a FRU/CRU so you have to order a base chassis and just swap the mailslot from the new base chassis with the bad mailslot. 7021880 [C] Base Chassis. Note: We have very little history to suggest this part fails enough to justify it be part listed, so there are no plans to make it available separately. Note: The current PN for the Mailslot/CAP Assembly is 7075941.
