Sun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
This solution also works to reolve FSC(6005): Bond state DOWN - Board : hbza, iface : bond0 (Internal LAN).
If the library sends in an FSC(6005) alert, the customer can use SLC to check for a Bond Monitor Alert on the Status Module page and clear it if "Clearable = Yes".

6004 0 PORT_BONDING_MONITOR_LINK_DOWN warn Link state DOWN
Cause
It appears that there is temporary bond down for HBTB HBYBB.
Possible causes:
- Poor connection to ports on internal ethernet switch, ethernet cables.
- Recommend to reseat ethernet cables and or replace ethernet switches (intenal and external switches should be PUE rather than 3COM switches) also affected could be the internal ethernet cable.
Solution
Log on via SLC to SL8500.
In System Details select Status, than Status Module.
1. Print screen from the Status Module tab
2. If there is an Alert in Status Module with 'Module Name= BondMonitor' and it is 'Clearable=Yes', than clear this Alert (after the print screen is done)...
In the print screen for the Internal Network two links were down!
HBZA / HBZ1B and HBTB / HBYBB
Check the cables marked:
HBZ1B for HBZA
and
HBYBB for HBTB
After the onsite intervention, the Field Engineer noticed that the ethernet cable was the issue regarding the BOND_MONITOR.
After replacing cable and the messages cleared the issue was fixed.
