Oracle Database Appliance X3-2 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

#oakcli configure vm <vm> -prefnode 0|1

Error: OAKERR:7006 Invalid vm.cfg file passed with parameters.

Changes

The issue may happen during multiple VM operations like start, configure, modify etc.

Cause

Issue due to the Unpublished Bug 19280786 relative to an issue with the cache containing ACFS information

Solution

The issue may happen during multiple VM operations like start, configure, modify etc.

Fixed in 12.1.2.2.0 ODA release.

Workaround:

1) ls /u01/app/sharedrepo//.ACFS in oda_base

2) ls /OVS/Repositories//.ACFS in dom0

3) Try and access the vm.cfg after that.  Directly accessing the vm.cfg file without step 2 fails in most occasions with "file not found" error.
