The HBQ card is the main part of the rail terminator.
There are two terminators in a single SL3000 library.
One terminator is placed on each end of the rail.
Provides matched impedance termination for the signal interface.
Critical for maintaining signal quality.

Symptoms

HBQ: Rail Terminator, Error 5010, 5070, Loss of bot – HBC Communication

Cause

  • Bad signal quality
  • Terminator failure can result in missed service interrupt interval and loss of bot – HBC communication.

Solution

HBQ Terminator

Troubleshooting Techniques:

  • Look for 5010 or 5070 errors on track/tracks. If these errors are found in the log for normal motion (not move-and-push), check track alignment and rail termination.
  • Run the command 'stats network' from Command Line Interface (CLI) to obtain network statistics
  • Determine from byte errors or frame overruns if there's a network issue on the rail
  • Check for a loose or improperly installed terminator connector.
  • Look for a broken connector
  • Replace terminator
