Symptoms

ODA environment using Database Control (DBconsole) from an 11.2.0.4 Oracle Database Home.

Once the Notification Schedule is edited, the schedule is no longer showing the entire week.  In fact the schedule is showing only one hour of time (12:00 - 1:00) on Monday, and the rest of the schedule is blank:

Also the Cancel, Back or Finish buttons do not work.  You must select another link - such as Notification Schedule or Setup - to navigate away from this page.

Cause

This is unpublished Bug 13907733 - EM: REGRN:AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF SHORTDESC SHOULD SUPPORT ROWHEADERSTAMP.

This issue is also outlined in <Document 1927762.1> Dbcontrol Email Notifications Are not received for metric alerts with a valid Notification Rule.

Per the MOS note, applying <Patch 13907733>: EM: REGRN:AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF SHORTDESC SHOULD SUPPORT ROWHEADERSTAMP to the database home from where you are running Database Control will fix the issue.

However in an ODA environment, applying an interim patch is not possible with oakcli.
 

Solution

Since the 11.2.0.4.0 patchset is the terminal patchset for 11.2, and since 12.1 uses a different product for GUI Database management called EM Express, ODA development has approved applying this interim patch to any 11.2.0.4 Database Homes running on ODA for those customers wishing to use Dbcontrol Notification Scheduling.
