Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1961308.1 : Back-to-back Purge UE Requests (PUR)
Quota reset problem due to 2 PURs arriving in less than 100ms to the SPR In this Document
Created from <SR 3-9991510798> Applies to:Oracle Communications Subscriber Data Management (SDM) - Version SDM 9.0.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsQuota Reset is not done properly due to 2 PURs arriving to Subscriber Profile Repository (SPR)in less than 100ms, it causes second PUR to be answered with Out-Of-Sync by SPR. CauseQuota Reset is not done properly due to 2 PURs arriving to SPR in less than 100ms, it causes second PUR to be answered with Out-Of-Sync by SPR, it requires Multimedia Policy Engine (MPE) to send an User-Data-Request (UDR) to request for the proper sequence number however the new PUR send by MPE does not have the proper information due to MPE no storing the previous information (send in previous 2 PURs) and it is the reason quota reset no working properly.
This problem would be fixed in MPE release 10.5 SolutionForce SPR to read the active database whenever a PUR is received. Such an option is available only in BlueVersion 9.0.5 patch2 ( patch 7) and in BlueVersion 9.3.1 Patch 1, however; it requires verification that the system can support such an option. So whenever such situation exists, it is recommended to open a Service Request (SR) to study the system where problem is observed. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
